Candied Walnuts

List of Ingredients
3 cups walnuts soaked over night in filtered water
¼ c date paste, or 3 T maple sugar
½ T cinnamon
T mesquite meal (optional)
¼ t cayenne
½ T Celtic Sea Salt
Recipe
After straining the walnuts, toss all ingredients well, until thoroughly mixed.
Spread mixture on dehydrator sheet and continue to dehydrate for 12-14 hours.
Store in sealed container.
Makes 4 ½ cups.
BL's Note: stevia could be used to replace the date paste or sugar, but it would need a carrier to spread properly. 1/8 tsp stevia mixed with tapioca starch, or arrowroot powder to make 3 T would probably be sufficient, but your family might like it sweeter so adjust to taste.
