    Passover Macaroons With a Citrus Twist

    List of Ingredients




    5-1/3 cups flaked coconut
    2/3 cup sugar
    6 Tbsp. meal or flour (try a nut meal if you can use oat matzoh)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 egg whites
    2 tsp. grated lemon peel
    1 tsp. almond extract

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 325°F.

    Mix coconut, sugar, matzo meal and salt in large bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients until well blended.

    Drop tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto lightly greased baking sheets dusted with additional meal.

    Bake 20 min. or until edges of cookies are golden brown.

    Immediately remove from baking sheets. Cool on wire racks.
