Recipe Introduction
Note from BL: For many jewish people, soy is out over pesach, so it's a good time to find products and recipes without soy and wheat. Here is a recipe for a homemade soy sauce sub. My only real problem was finding gluten free beef bullion powder. I was able to find vegetable bullion cubes so I powdered them and used that - it worked well enough. Of course this doesn't taste EXACTLY like soy sauce, so your children may not care for it on rice, but it works well in recipes.
List of Ingredients
* 4 tablespoons GF beef bouillon
* 4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
* 2 teaspoons dark molasses
* 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
* 1 pinch white pepper
* 1 pinch garlic powder
* 1 1/2 cups waterRecipe
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, stir together the beef bouillon, balsamic vinegar, molasses, ginger, white pepper, garlic powder and water. Boil gently until liquid is reduced to about 1 cup, about 15 minutes.
