    1 cup Walnut Pieces
    2 tbsp Corn Syrup (or try maple or golden syrup to be corn free)
    1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
    1/4 tsp Salt
    1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper, ground

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 325F (160C).

    In a small bowl, combine walnuts, syrup, sugar, salt and cayenne pepper; toss to coat. (nuts may clump together)

    Spread out walnuts on parchment paper-lined baking sheet.

    Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden and sugar is bubbling. (Note: mixture is VERY HOT).

    Let cool completely on baking sheet.

    Break apart if necessary.

    (Make ahead. Store in airtight container for up to 5 days).

    Tip: Use pecans in place of walnuts.
