    Toffee Apple Cake

    List of Ingredients

    3/4 cup butter or margarine
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    3/4 cup strong coffee
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 cups flour, sifted
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 cups apples, peeled and chopped


    TOPPING:

    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 cups nuts, chopped

    Recipe

    CAKE:

    1. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add coffee and
    vanilla.
    2. Mix dry ingredients. Add to mixture. Stir in apples.

    3. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan.


    TOPPING:

    1. Mix together and spread over batter.


    BAKE: at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.


    This is good plain or with a little Cool Whip on top before serving.

    Makes 10 to 12 servings
