    Fresh Peach Pie

    This is best baked in a glass pan.


    List of Ingredients


    • Pastry Dough
    • 2 cups flour
    • 1/3 cup sugar
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 stick margarine
    • Fresh Peach Pie
    • 3 pounds peaches peeled
    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 tablespoons flour
    • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
    • Pinch of nutmeg
    • 2 tablespoons butter


    Instructions


    1. For pastry dough, mix first 5 ingredients until crumbly and add 1 to 2 eggs and mix.
    2. Refrigerate 1 hr before rolling. This dough may be frozen up to 2 months.
    3. Mix all ingredients for the peach pie together and pour into pie shell.
    4. Bake on lowest rack at 400 for 15 minutes (be sure to preheat the oven) then move to the middle rack and bake at 350 for about 30 minutes more.
