    Vera Carter's Sugar Cookies

    List of Ingredients




    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    2 t. soda
    2 t. cream of tartar
    vanilla
    dash salt

    Recipe



    Cream first 4 ingredients together. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well. Drop by teaspoons on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
