Recipe Introduction
With BBQ season upon us, I thought I would share this grilled burger recipe.
List of Ingredients
- 1/4 c. finely chopped onions
- 2 T. tomato paste
- 1 T. minced garlic
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/2 t. dried rosemary
- 1/2 t. pepper
- 1/4 t. allspice
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 can/bottle beer
- Mustard sauce (recipe below)
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine onion, tomato paste, garlic, salt, rosemary, pepper, and allspice.Add ground beef and mix well. Shape into 6 patties. Place in a shallow dish. Reserve 1 Tablespoon beer for Mustard Sauce; pour remaining beer over burgers. cover and refrigerate for 6 to 24 hours, turning burgers once.
- Prepare mustard sauce. Cover and refrigerate.
- Mustard Sauce recipe:
In a small bowl combine:
3 T. stoneground mustard
3/4 t. Worcestershire sauce
1T. beer
- Drain beer from burgers and discard. Grill burgers over medium heat for 10 to 14 minutes, turning once.
- Serve on buns with the mustard sauce.
