    By taking a Swedish Meatball recipe, I turned this into a gourmet burger.

    List of Ingredients




    3/4 pound ground beef
    1/2 pound ground pork
    1/3 c. plain dry bread crumbs
    1 T. minced onion
    1/4 c. milk
    1 large egg
    1 t. ground nutmeg
    1/2 t. allspice
    1 t. salt
    1 t. pepper
    1 T. vegetable oil
    2 T. cornstarch
    1 1/2 c. beef broth
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    3 T. dry sherry
    1/4 t. allspice (for the sauce)
    2 t. worcestershire sauce
    2 T. sour cream
    1 t. dillweed

    Recipe



    In a bowl, mix together the beef, pork, bread crumbs, minced onion, milk, egg, nutmeg, allspice, salt and pepper. Form into 6 patties.
    Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the burgers and saute until just cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes per side. Remove from pan and set aside. Reserve the drippings in the pan.

    In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and the beef broth. Set aside.

    To the reserved drippings in the pan, add the chopped onion and the sherry. Cook over medium high heat, scraping the browned bits off the bottom of the pan. Add the broth mixture and bring to a boil for 1 minute. Return the burgers to the pan and simmer 2 to 4 minutes.

    Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in 1/4 t. allspice, worcestershire, sour cream and dill.
