1 1/2 quarts water
10 oz. package frozen broccoli
3/4 c. chopped onion
Boil for 10 to 12 minutes
Add:
8 oz. shredded American cheese
1 t. garlic powder
2 t. each salt and pepper
Stir until cheese melts
Add:
1 cup milk
1 cup half and half
1/4 cup butter
mix 1/2 cup flour in a 1/2 cup milk. Add to thicken soup. Simmer until thickened.
