    Layered Tomatoe Salad

    I got this from a friend who got it from a friend...


    List of Ingredients


    • 4 med. sized, ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced
    • 1/4 lb. provolone cheese, cut into 1/4 inch dice
    • 1/4 lb. swiss cheese, cut into 1/4/ inch dice
    • 4 ozs. thinly sliced hard salami
    • 1/4-1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, cut in strips
    • 2 Tbs vinegar
    • 1/2 tea. salt
    • 1/4 cup olive oil
    • 2 Tbs minced green onions


    Instructions


    1. Make dressing by mixing together last four ingredients and set aside.
    2. Put both cheeses in the bottom of a two-quart bowl. Sprinkle half of the basil leaves over the cheeses and pour half of the dressing mixture on top of that.
    3. Cut salami slices in quarters and layer with the tomatoes over cheeses. Put remaining basil and dressing over tomatoes.
    4. Cover and chill several hours.
    5. Serves 8.
