List of Ingredients
1 bag preshredded cole slaw mix (your choice of cabbage alone,or, cabbage with red cabbage, carrots, etc.)
1 apple, chopped into small pieces(I like braeburn or cameo)
1/4 cup dried chopped onion
1 Tablespoon chopped parsley (fresh or dried)
1 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup Splenda (or similar substitute)
salt and pepperRecipe
Mix together cabbage/cole slaw mix, chopped apple, onion, celery seed, and parsley in a medium bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix together vinegar and sweetener.
Pour dressing over cabbage mixture and mix well. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Refrigerate to chill before serving.
A non-mayo alternative to summer side salads. If the vinegar has too much "kick" for your taste, try either increasing the sweetener or diluting the dressing with 1-2 Tablespoons of water.
