    4-oz. unsweetened chocolate
    4 cups milk
    3/4 cup half and half
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground allspice
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
    1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped for garnish

    Recipe



    Melt chocolate in 1 cup of milk, over low heat, stirring onstantly.

    Gradually add remaining milk and half and half, followed by remaining ingredients, except extracts. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until completely heated. Remove from heat and stir in extracts.

    Serve topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with dditional nutmeg.

    Makes 5 cups
