Raspberry Shortbread Cookies

1 cup butter softened[no subs]
2/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 cups flour
1/2- 1 cup seedless raspberry jam
GLAZE
1 cup powdered sugar
2-3 tbs water

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in extract,gradually add flour until dough forms a ball. Cover and chill for 1 hour. Roll into 1" balls. Place 1" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Using end of wooden spoon make and indentation in the center. Fill with jam. Bake at 350 degrees for 14-18 min. Remove to wire racks to cool. Spoon additional jam into cookies if desired. Combine glaze ingredients and drizzle over cookies.
