    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 teaspoon instant coffee
    1/2 cup ground nuts

    2 egg whites
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon vinegar
    1/2 cup sugar

    Recipe



    Beat egg whites with salt and vinegar to make soft peaks. Blend in sugar, cinnamon, coffee, and nuts, gradually. Beat until stiff peaks form. Put on brown paper on a cookie sheet. Shape like a pie shell with high sides. Bake in 275° oven for 1 hour. Turn off heat and dry shell in oven for 2 hours.

    FILLING:
    1 (6-ounce) package chocolate bits
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    1/4 cup water
    1 cup heavy cream
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 cup sugar1/4 teaspoon instant coffee

    Melt chocolate over hot water (or microwave 2 minutes), cool slightly, and spread 2 tablespoonfuls over bottom of cooled shell. Add egg yolks and water to rest of chocolate, blend well. Chill until thick. Whip cream with cinnamon, sugar, and coffee. Beat until stiff. Spread half over chocolate in shell. Fold remaining whipped cream mixture into remaining chocolate mixture. Spread over
    top of torte. Decorate with pecan halves or cut-up pecans. Chill several hours or overnight.
