    Hearty, flavorful muffins that will satisfy kids as an after school treat.

    List of Ingredients




    3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup LAND O LAKES® Butter, softened*
    3 medium (1 1/2 cups) ripe bananas, mashed
    2 large eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup all-purpose flour
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/2 cup mini semi-sweet real chocolate chips

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350°F. Combine brown sugar and butter in large mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture is creamy. Add bananas, eggs and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed.

    Combine flour, whole wheat flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. Stir flour mixture into banana mixture by hand just until moistened. Gently stir in chocolate chips.

    Spoon batter into paper-lined or greased muffin pans. Bake for 18 to 25 minutes or until light golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes; remove from pans.

    Makes 1 1/2 dozen muffins.


    My notes: Made these with cinnamon chips - super!
