CJ's Unbelievably Light and Fluffy Cheese Dumplings

1 cup self raising flour
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Buttermilk
1 tablespoon chopped parsley and/or 1 teaspoon grated onion (optional)
2 tablespoons tasty cheese
Recipe
Sift flour into a bowl, add egg and mix buttermilk into mixture to form a stiff dough, now add parsley and onions if used, and cheese, mix in well.
Using a wet dessert spoon drop spoonfuls of mixture on to the top of your stew or casserole, cover and cook slowly for 5 minutes then turn the dumplings over and cook for a further 5 minutes.
Try to keep the dumplings far enough apart so they dont touch during cooking. You can leave out the cheese, parsley and onion if you wish they'll still be light and fluffy.
Serving suggestion:
These dumplings are just wonderful on a cold winter night.
