    Unwrapped Peppermint Pattie Brownies

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 C. butter or margarine, melted
    • 3 C. sugar
    • 1 T. vanilla extract
    • 5 eggs
    • 2 C. all-purpose flour
    • 1 C. Hershey's cocoa
    • 1 t. Baking powder
    • 1 t. salt
    • 24 (1 1/2 in) York Peppermint Patties (unwrapped)


    Instructions


    1. Grease a 9x13 baking pan.

    2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    3. Beat together the butter, sugar and vanilla.

    4. Add eggs and beat until well-blended.

    5. Mix together the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

    6. Stir it into the butter-sugar mixture and blend well.

    7. Reserve 2 cups of the batter, spreading the remaining mixture in the prepared pan.

    8. Arrange peppermint patties about 1/2 inch apart in a single layer over the batter.

    9. Spread reserved batter over the patties.

    10. Bake 50-55 minutes or until mixture begins to pull away from sides of pan.

    11. Cool completely in pan and cut into 36 brownies.
