    Italian Pasta Sausage Soup

    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 lb. hot or sweet Italian sausage links
    • 1 28oz. can whole tomatoes, undrained, cut up
    • 1 14.5oz. can chicken broth
    • 1 8oz. can no-salt-added tomato sauce
    • 1 t. dried basil leaves
    • 1 t. dried oregano leaves
    • 1 16oz. pkg. Pasta Accents Garlic Seasoning Frozen Vegetables and Pasta
    • 2 T. Parmesan cheese, grated


    Instructions


    1. Place sausage in 5qt, Dutch oven.

    2. Add water to a depth of about 1/2 inch.

    3. Bring to a boil.

    4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 minutes or until sausage is partially cooked.

    5. Drain.

    6. Cut sausage into slices;return to saucepan.

    7. Add tomatoes, chicken broth, tomato sauce, basil and oregano; blend well.

    8. Bring to a boil.

    9. Reduce heat;cover and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    10. Stir in frozen vegetables and pasta.

    11. Cover; bring to a boil.

    12. Reduce heat; simmer 3 to 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.

    13. Garnish with parmesan cheese.

    14. 6 (1 1/2 cup) servings.
