1 lb. Ground beef
1 pkg. Taco seasoning mix
6 flour tortillas
2 c. grated cheddar cheese
6 Tbsp. chopped onion
6 Tbsp. Salsa (or more)
Recipe
Brown beef; mashing meat slightly so that you have small pieces of meat rather
than large. Drain off fat. Add seasoning mix and 3/4 c. water. Bring to a
simmer and cook until most of the liquid is absorbed, about 15 minutes.
Place tortillas on ungreased baking sheets. In center of each, place a
portion of the meat mixture. Sprinkle meat with cheese, onion and salsa. Bake
at 500 just until cheese melts. This takes a minute or so… you don’t want the
tortillas to crisp.
Remove from oven and fold each tortilla in half like a turnover. Press edges.
The melted cheese will seal the turnover.
