    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 c whole-wheat flour
    • 1 c sugar
    • 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
    • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 2 T grated orange zest
    • 3/4 c freshly squeezed orange juice
    • 1/4 c dark molasses
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 T canola oil
    • 1/2 c finely chopped walnuts


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x5 loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.
    2. Whisk together the flours, sugar, pie spice, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl.
    3. Whisk together the orange zest and juice, molasses, egg and oil in a medium bowl. Pour into the flour mixture and stir just to blend; fold in the walnuts. Pour into the pan and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 1 hour. Cool completely on a rack.
