3 Tbs. butter, softened
1 C. hash browns, cubed or shredded, defrosted
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 C. shredded cheddar cheese
8 eggs
8 link sausages, cooked, drained, and sliced
1/2 C. whipping cream or 1/2 C. fat free half and half

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread butter in 9-inch glass baking dish. Sprinkle the hash browns and half of the cheese over butter. Season with salt and pepper. Break eggs carefully onto cheese. Pierce yolks with a fork, but don't stir the eggs; leave them separate. Dash with hot sauce, if desired. Place sliced sausages on eggs and pour cream over all. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes,
