    Garlic Mashed Potatoes

    2 lbs. potatoes, peeled and diced potatoes
    6 garlic cloves, peeled
    6 T. butter, cut in 1 T. pieces
    3/4 c heavy cream, half & half, or milk


    Recipe



    Add potatoes to a saucepan. Add water to cover potatoes. Add garlic. Cover pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat slightly and simmer until potatoes are fork-tender. Drain and set aside. Return empty pan to heat. Bring cream or milk to boil, then remove from heat immediately when it starts to boil. Mash the potatoes and garlic, beating in the butter, then the milk, salt and pepper, until potatoes are smooth and fluffy!
