Choco-Coconut Bars

- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. oleo
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 6 oz chocolate chips
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
Instructions
- Combine flour, brown sugar, oleo and salt. Work with pastry blender until crumbly. Pat evenly into ungreased 9x13 pan.
- Bake 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot crust; return to oven for 1 minute to soften. Remove from oven and spread chocolate chips evenly. Beat eggs until thick and light color; beat in sugar and vanilla. Stir in flour mixed with baking powder and salt. Then coconut. Spread evenly over chocolate layer.
- Bake 375 degrees for 14 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
