List of Ingredients



• 1/2 c, shortening
  
• 2 c. sugar
  
• 1 tsp. vanilla
  
• 4 eggs, well beaten
  
• 3 c. flour
  
• 2 tsp. baking powder
  
• 1/2 tsp. salt
  
• 1 c. milk
  
• FILLING:
  
• 1 c. brown sugar
  
• 2 tbsp. flour
  
• 2 tbsp. butter
  
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
  
• 1 c. chopped nuts
  






Instructions



1. Combine shortening and sugar. Add vanilla and eggs. Then add dry ingredients alternately with 1 c. milk.
   
2. Put 1/2 of the batter in greased pan and cover with 1/2 the filling. Then add remaining batter and top with the rest of the filling.
   
3. Bake 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
   






Final Comments


Makes 2--8 inch square pans.
