Rich Chocolate Fudge

- 4 c. sugar
- 1 can (14 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1 pkg. (12 oz) semi sweet choc. chips
- 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme or 1 1/2 c. mini marshmallows
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Instructions
- In 4-quart microproof bowl, mix sugar, milk and butter. Cook on HI (max power) 20-22 minutes or until a few drops of mixture in cold water forms a soft ball (234 degrees on candy thermometer). DO NOT leave thermometer in oven while cooking.
- Stir well every 5 minutes during cooking. Stir in chocolate chips and marshmallow creme until mixture is well blended.
- Add vanilla and nuts, mix.
- Pour into buttered 9-inch pan for thick pieces or 12x7x2 inch dish for thinner pieces.
- Cool and cut into squares.
- Makes about 48 pieces.
Final Comments
If start with butter that is melted you only have to cook this about 19 minutes.
