- 2 qts. water
- 1 qt. brown vinegar
- 1 1/8 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. pickling salt
- 5 onions. small
- 5 garlic bud
- 10 heads of dill
- 10 fresh grape leaf
Instructions
- Cook together the water, brown vinegar, sugar and pickling salt until boils. In bottom of boiling hot quart jars put half small onion, half garlic bud, whole head dill, 1 fresh grape leaf. Stack whole pickles in wide mouth jars; then repeat ingredients in top of jar--fresh grape leaf, 1 head dill, half garlic bud, and half small onion.
- Pour boiling juice over everything. Put in boiling water bath; turn off stove and let stand overnight. Eat in one week.
- Makes 5 quarts.
