    CHOCOLATE CAKE
    Cream together:
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    Add: 3 eggs
    1 c. Amish batter
    1 t. vanilla
    Beat 2 minutes on medium speed.
    Combine:
    2/3 c. cocoa 1 1/2 t. baking soda
    1 t. salt 2 c. flour
    1/2 t. baking powder

    Recipe



    Add flour mixture to batter alternately with 3/4 c. cold water.

    Beat 1 minute on medium speed. Mix in by hand 1 c. chopped nuts.

    Pour into greased and floured 9x12 pan.

    Bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
