    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/2 cups of flour
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 cup shortening
    • yolk + milk = 2/3 cup
    • 2/3 -3/4 cup of sugar
    • 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
    • 1/8 tsp salt
    • 1/4 cup water
    • 3 cups of blueberries
    • 1 tablespoon of butter
    • 1 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
    • Save whites of egg for brushing on


    Instructions


    1. Mix flour, sugar, salt, shortening yolk/milk mixture and make into a soft dough.
    2. On stovetop, mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, water, and blueberries (leave out a few blueberries fresh to put on top of the dessert). Stir until blueberry sauce is ready. Then add 1 T of butter and 1 1/2 tsp of lemon juice.
    3. Cook at 400 for 20-25 minutes.
      Brush with egg whites
    4. Put a frosting glaze on if desired.
