Blueberry Sheet Pie

List of Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups of flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup shortening
- yolk + milk = 2/3 cup
- 2/3 -3/4 cup of sugar
- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 3 cups of blueberries
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
- Save whites of egg for brushing on
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, salt, shortening yolk/milk mixture and make into a soft dough.
- On stovetop, mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, water, and blueberries (leave out a few blueberries fresh to put on top of the dessert). Stir until blueberry sauce is ready. Then add 1 T of butter and 1 1/2 tsp of lemon juice.
- Cook at 400 for 20-25 minutes.
Brush with egg whites
- Put a frosting glaze on if desired.
