List of Ingredients
1/2 bushel of tomatoes
3 lb chopped onion
4 chopped peppers
2 T basil
1 cup oil
1 T parsley
2 tsp oregano
3/4 cup sugar
4 12 oz tomato paste
3 tsp salt
pepper to taste
1/2 bottle italian seasoning
Several cloves of garlicRecipe
Cook juice 1 hour or boil until thicken. Add everything except paste. Cook 2 hours then add paste and bring back to boil. Put in hot jars and process 10 minutes.
5 gallon pail makes about 10 quarts.
We think that we could add 2 more tomato paste to make even thicker.
