    List of Ingredients


    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 2 sticks margarine
    • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
    • 1 cup water
    • 1/2 cup buttermilk
    • 1 tsp. soda
    • 1 tsp. cinnamon
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • pinch salt
    • 2 eggs
    • Frosting ingredients:
    • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
    • 1 stick margarine
    • 6 Tbsp. milk
    • 1 lb. powdered sugar
    • 1 cup chopped pecans
    • 1 tsp. vanilla


    Instructions


    1. Mix together flour and sugar.
    2. Combine in pan 2 sticks margarine, 4 Tbsp. cocoa, and water.
    3. Bring to a boil and pour over sugar/flour mixture.
    4. Then add buttermilk, soda, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, and eggs.
    5. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and pour into 9 X 13 pan.
    6. Bake at 400 degrees for 20-30 minutes.
    7. Frosting directions:
    8. Bring cocoa, margarine, and milk to a boil for 1 minute.
    9. Then add powdered sugar, pecans, and vanilla.
    10. Frost the cake while it is still warm.
