    List of Ingredients


    • Filling ingredients:
    • 1 1/2 cup water
    • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
    • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1 tsp. cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg
    • pinch of black pepper
    • 2 lbs. peaches (peeled, pitted, and cut into wedges- about 3 cups)
    • Topping ingredients:
    • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup flour
    • 1 cup pecans
    • 1/2 stick butter, cut into small pieces
    • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg


    Instructions


    1. Combine water, 1/4 cup brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, and pepper in a saucepan over high heat.
    2. Bring to a boil and whisk until smooth.
    3. Remove from heat.
    4. Put peaches in large bowl and pour the syrup over them.
    5. Toss to coat evenly.
    6. Let cool for 10 minutes.
    7. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    8. Combine all the topping ingredients in mixing bowl.
    9. Work the mixture together to form a ball.
    10. Pour peach mixture into prepared pie crust 9 inch deep pie dish. Spread evenly.
    11. Crumble the topping evenly over the top.
    12. Bake for 1 hour or until crust and topping are browned.
    13. Cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
