List of Ingredients
- 4 cups sugar
- 6 Tbsp. cocoa
- pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups undiluted can milk
- 3 Tbsp. white corn syrup
Instructions
- Put margarine on paper towel and grease the pan you will use. This helps to dissolve the sugar crystals that can cause the fudge to go to sugar.
- Stir all ingredients together and start cooking in a sauce pan. Continue to stir until mixture comes to a full boil.
- Stop stirring. Be sure your pan is large enough so it doesn't boil over.
- As the fudge boils, it will cook down and you can test it by putting a small amount in cold water.
- If you can gather it up into a soft ball, it is usually done.
- Pour fudge into a heat proof bowl.
- Don't scrape the pan.
- Let bowl set until lukewarm.
- Add vanilla and start beating with a hand mixer.
- Pour into greased dish.
- Leave out cocoa for vanilla fudge.
