    Recipe Introduction


    April's Aunt Kay made these when she was in high school. She wrote "good" by the recipe.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup soft shortening
    • 1 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 3/4 cup sifted flour
    • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
    • 1 tsp. soda
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 4 Tbsp. sugar- for rolling dough in
    • 4 tsp. cinnamon- for rolling dough in


    Instructions


    1. Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs thoroughly.
    2. Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Stir into above mixture.
    3. Form dough into balls about the size of walnuts.
    4. Roll in mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
    5. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
