    Corn Dogs

    Source of Recipe

    Barbara Duncan- Billy's aunt

    List of Ingredients

    • 2 dozen weiners
    • 2 1/2 cups flour
    • 2 cups corn meal
    • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
    • 2 tsp. salt
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 cups milk

    Instructions

    1. Beat eggs. Add milk and mix well.
    2. Add flour, meal, baking powder, and salt.
    3. Stir until well mixed.
    4. Let batter stand 15-30 minutes.
    5. Dry weiners with paper towel. (This helps the batter stay on.)
    6. Dip weiners in batter and drop into hot oil.
    7. It will be necessary to roll the corn dogs over most of the time while they are cooking or they will just brown on one side.
    8. Cook until golden brown.
    9. Drain on paper towels.

    Final Comments

This is enough batter for about 3 dozen or so weiners.
