- 2 dozen weiners
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2 cups corn meal
- 2 Tbsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
Instructions
- Beat eggs. Add milk and mix well.
- Add flour, meal, baking powder, and salt.
- Stir until well mixed.
- Let batter stand 15-30 minutes.
- Dry weiners with paper towel. (This helps the batter stay on.)
- Dip weiners in batter and drop into hot oil.
- It will be necessary to roll the corn dogs over most of the time while they are cooking or they will just brown on one side.
- Cook until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
Final Comments
This is enough batter for about 3 dozen or so weiners.
