    Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/4 C. sugar, divided
    • 1 C. flour
    • 7 T. cocoa, divided
    • 2 tsp. baking powder
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 C. milk
    • 1/3 C. butter or margarine, melted
    • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    • 1/2 C. packed light brown sugar
    • 1 1/4 C. hot water


    Instructions


    1. Combine 3/4 C. sugar, flour, 3 T. cocoa, baking powder and salt.

    2. Blend in milk, melted butter and vanilla. Beat until smooth.

    3. Pour batter into a square pan, 8x8 or 9x9.

    4. In a small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 C. sugar, brown sugar and remaining 4 T. cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over batter.

    5. Pour hot water over top. Do not stir.

    6. Bake at 350 deg. for 40 min. or until center is almost set.

    7. Let stand 15 minutes. Spoon into desert dishes, spooning sauce from bottom of pan over top.

    8. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream.

    9. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
