Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

List of Ingredients
- 1 1/4 C. sugar, divided
- 1 C. flour
- 7 T. cocoa, divided
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 C. milk
- 1/3 C. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 C. packed light brown sugar
- 1 1/4 C. hot water
Instructions
- Combine 3/4 C. sugar, flour, 3 T. cocoa, baking powder and salt.
- Blend in milk, melted butter and vanilla. Beat until smooth.
- Pour batter into a square pan, 8x8 or 9x9.
- In a small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 C. sugar, brown sugar and remaining 4 T. cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over batter.
- Pour hot water over top. Do not stir.
- Bake at 350 deg. for 40 min. or until center is almost set.
- Let stand 15 minutes. Spoon into desert dishes, spooning sauce from bottom of pan over top.
- Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream.
- Makes 8 to 10 servings.
