- 1 large head cabbage
- 1 onion minced, or dried onion flakes
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 C. cooked rice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. paprika
Instructions
- Prepare cabbage leaves.
- Mix beef, rice, seasonings, sautéed onions or onion flakes.
- Stuff cabbage leaves and place on wax paper covered cookie sheet and freeze. When frozen place in bags and seal.
- To cook, place cabbage rolls in pressure cooker with 1 Cup of water and cook for 10 minutes.
Final Comments
An easy alternative: Shred the cabbage (about 4 cups worth). In a casserole dish, layer half of the cabbage, half of the meat mixture, repeat layers. Top with canned tomatoes, drained, as much as you like. Bake @ 350 covered for 1 hr, uncovered 30 more minutes.
