    It is our tradition to have Cream of Mushroom Soup on Christmas Eve before the main course.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 C. sliced mushrooms
    • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
    • 2 Tbsp. butter
    • 3 Tbsp. flour
    • 2 C. beef broth
    • 1/2 C. milk
    • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    • Salt & pepper to taste


    Instructions


    1. Saute mushrooms and onion in butter 5 minutes.
    2. Blend in flour; add broth.
    3. Cook and stir till slightly thickened.
    4. Add milk and seasonings.
    5. Heat through.
    6. Serves 4 to 6.
