Recipe Introduction
It is our tradition to have Cream of Mushroom Soup on Christmas Eve before the main course.
List of Ingredients
- 1 C. sliced mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 C. beef broth
- 1/2 C. milk
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Saute mushrooms and onion in butter 5 minutes.
- Blend in flour; add broth.
- Cook and stir till slightly thickened.
- Add milk and seasonings.
- Heat through.
- Serves 4 to 6.
