Basque Tuna Casserole

1 cup onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
4 slices of white bread, toasted
2 eggs
1/3 cup white wine
1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce
1 cup water
14 oz. tuna
1/4 cup toasted almonds
2 tbs. chopped parsley
1/4 cup slice green olives
2 tbs. chopped pimentos
1/2 cup Gruyère cheese, grated, divided
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Saute chopped onion and crushed garlic clove in a skillet until tender. Combine toasted slices of white bread, hard-boiled eggs, white wine, liquid hot pepper sauce, and water in a blender or food processor. Process for 1 minute, or until smooth. Combine tuna, the egg mixture, the onion mixture, chopped almonds, chopped parsley, sliced green olives, chopped pimiento, and 1/4 cup grated Gruyere cheese. Spoon into a baking dish and sprinkle 1/4 cup grated Gruyere cheese on top. Bake for 30 minutes or until heated through.
