    2 cups leftover cooked roast beef, cut into small cubes, or cooked ground beef (about 10 ounces)
    1-1/4 cups salsa
    1/2 cup water
    1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
    1 teaspoon chili powder
    1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
    1 15-ounce can pinto beans
    Fresh chili peppers or sweet pickles (optional)

    In a medium saucepan combine meat, salsa, water, bouillon granules, chili powder, and cumin. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat. Simmer mixture, covered, about 10 minutes.

    Meanwhile, in a small saucepan heat undrained beans. Drain. Serve meat and beans with chili peppers or sweet pickles and Texas toast, if desired. Makes 4 servings.
