    1 teaspoon canola oil
    1 onion, finely chopped
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    1 pound Italian turkey sausage, casings discarded, sausage crumbled
    2 (8-oz) cans sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
    6 cups low-sodium chicken broth

    Recipe



    Heat the oil in a large nonstick saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring frequently, until translucent, 3 to 5 minutes. Add the sausage and cook, breaking up the sausage with a wooden spoon, until browned, about 8 minutes.

    Add the sauerkraut and broth. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer, partially covered, until the sausage is cooked through, about 20 minutes.


    Per Serving 160 calories, 7 g fat, 2 g fiber.
