    1. What is the difference between Flex and Core?
Flex Plan, Is based on the Points system that allows you to eat any food as you keep track and protion of what you eat.
Core Plan, Controls calories by focusing your eating on a core food list of wholesome, nutritious foods without tracking and counting points. The idea behind Core is eat until "satisfied" not full.
Bottom Line: Choose the plan that fits you the best

    2. Program Materials
Spend time and look over the site On Line members just about everything you need is in The Plan (in your profile)(meeting members review the writen mateirals). Review them again and again. The more you learn and understand how the program works, the easier the program will be. PLEASE don't skim through it. That's where alot of people get into trouble and get frustrated. Then they don't understand why the program is not working.
Bottom Line: if you do the program half-way, You are going to see half-way results.

    3. Traget Points (daily points)
Your daily points are your minimum you eat each day. Not eating your daily points could mess up your metabolism and slow or stall the weight loss.
Bottom Line" eat to lose weight

    4. I can't eat all my daily points
If you are struggling with eating your daily points. Review your journal and see where you can add more points. Are you eating to many 0 points foods? are you eating to many non-fat, low fat foods? try eating higher calorie foods.
Bottom Line: WW is a diet program, But you don't have to eat rabbit food to lose weight.

    5. 8 Healthy Guidelines
Vegetables and fruits, whole grains, dairy, healthy oils, water, protein, multiple vitamins, etc,etc
These are necessary for the body to function properly, and plays a key role in helping with weight loss.

    6. 35 Weekly points, "WPA, flex points"
In addition to your daily points, The program includes 35 WPA. You can spend your WPA how ever you want over the weeks time.

    7. Healthy Oils
Healthy oils are Canola, flexseed, Olive oil, safflower and sunflower. Avocado's, peanut butter, salad dressing do NOT count as part of the healthy oils. It's had to be the pourable kind.
    Why the healthy oils?
Alot of people are getting in the wrong kinds of oils in their diets. Healthy Oils helps the body function properly.

    9. Counting 0 point foods
You have two kinds of 0 point foods, vegetables "non starch" and non vegetable.
The only true "zero" is the non-starch vegetables. They are the only zreo that when eaten by the bagful can still be called a zero. Free vegetables was created to give members a break from counting these points.
Starch vegetables and processed foods can be 0 point by the WW formula. WW seggest you limit these to five serving a day.. But some 0 points foods will add up to points after two servings.
Bottom line: Let your weight loss be your guide. if weight loss is slow, you might want to cut back on the zero foods.

    10. 1 item = 1 pt but 2 items=3.5 pts.. What's the deal?
A few reason, It comes down to fractions and rounding. One item might be 1.4 points (which WW rounds down to 1 point) but two items would be 2.8 and WW rounds it to 3 points.
Fiber,, (high fiber foods still have calories) There is a 4 gram fiber cap. Anything over 4 grams can only be counted at 4 grams. Example,, if 8 grams of fiber per serving are listed, you enter 4 grams to figure the points.
Bottom Line: WW is teaching protion control

WW CT (community team) has posted this a few times.
We wanted to remind Message Board users about our Community Ground Rule: "Don't Post Information Copyrighted by Others" and sharing POINTS® Values. We do not permit the posting of specific POINTS values. Our POINTS System is considered Intellectual Property, and we believe that any unauthorized use of POINTS values infringes upon our proprietary rights. Also we cannot stand by the reliability of any posted POINTS® values and whether they are right. If you wish to share information, please feel free to exchange nutritional values (e.g. calories, total fat and dietary fiber). With that information you can use the tools we provide to our subscribers and Meetings room members to calculate the POINTS values for personal use. These tools include the online POINTS Tracker and POINTS Calculator available to Internet subscribers as well as the POINTSfinder slide tool and electronic POINTS Calculator.

    12. Restaurant doesn't have their nutrition available
First check the restaurant website to see if they provide the nutritional information there. If they do, that will always be the most accurate and up to date information.

If a restaurant doesn’t provide the nutritional information on their website you have a few options.
    1) One is to look for similar items at a restaurant that does provide their nutrition information.
    2) Sometimes you can find nutrition information on second hand website like calorieking.com, mydailyplate.com
    3) Break the menu item down by its individual components and look those up. If you don’t have access to the WWer materials, or can’t find the information there, a good site for this is www.calorieking.com. or nutritiondata.com You may not get the exact point information, but it will get you close.
Bottom Line: Just do the best you can, If you are a little off it's not the end of the word.

    13. Why do some recipes have different points posted.
There are a few reason why.
    1) Different brands could cause the points to differ.
    2) Some recipe program come up with different nutrition.
    3) Some people don't add in 0 point foods like vegetables.
    4) Some recipes have been floating around for a long time. back from the old 123 Success Program, when the fiber was capped at 10 not 4 like now.
    5) sad but true, some people are just bad at math
Botton line: Refigure the points no matter where you got the recipe from.

    14. Which points to go by? Nutrition label or tracker?
Always figure the points by the nutrition lable when you can. It will be the most up todate and more accurate with that brand and what's inside the package.
The tracker and book are a overall average, unless it is a brand. By brand names, the company might have changed the product or ingredients. And WW has not updated their data base yet.

If you are having a hard time find something. Like a recipe from the boards, or a quote, a person. etc, etc
Use the search box (upper right hand corner)

    16. What does save mean?
When you see save in a thread, that person is saving that thread in their MY POST. You don't have to type save, you can type anything and it will save it to MY POST. If it's something you really want to save, type Thank You, it will be alot nicer than just saying save.
If it's something you really want to save, (like a recipe) print it or copy and past it to a word doc.
WW has been known to pull posts and threads. If WW pull the thread you will lose it in MY POST. Also threads saved in MY POST will drop off after 90 days.

I know some people type in all caps because of work and other reasons. But typing it all caps is considered yelling.

    20. How come I can't see my online tools?/How come the site keeps telling me to sign up when I am signed up?

A: Make sure you are signed in with your subscriber user name and password. Many people have a free user name without knowing it, but only the user name you used when you subscribed will get you to your online tools.

    21. Why did my POINTS go up?
What happened is that you either didn't take the quiz when you first started and just used the default point target. If you are a male, (there is a glitch in the online program) the gender on the quiz didn't record the first time around.

    22. Where do i find WW articals on the website like dairy servings and others?
THE PLAN -> TOOLS FOR LIVING(10ways to get what you want) -> choose any link on this page, such as WINNING OUTCOMES -> at the bottom of the right frame, see RECENT ARTICLES, click on VIEW ALL.
