    At least 6 glasses of water are recommended daily. Much of the water many people drink is actually in the form of other
    beverages, such as juices and soft drinks.
    • Any type of water – plain, sparkling, club soda, seltzer – counts.
    • Juice, milk, and decaffeinated beverages can be used for 3 of the 6 (8-ounce each) glasses daily.
    • Caffeinated and alcoholic beverages may not be counted toward the water recommendation because caffeine and
    alcohol in excess cause the body to excrete water.
