Sausage Gravy (and Biscuits)

- 1 large roll of sausage, like Jimmy Dean (can be a combination of regular and hot if you use more than 1)
- 2 cups milk
- 3 Tbs. flour
- Ground pepper to taste
- Biscuits
Instructions
- Brown crumbled sausage in pan until thoroughly cooked. Add some pepper as it browns.
- Sprinkle flour over sausage and stir to coat evenly.
- Once sausage and flour have started to re-brown, slowly add milk to the pan. This will make your gravy.
- Simmer gravy, stirring occasionally, for approx. 30 minutes to allow the gravy to absorb the sausage flavor, adding more pepper if you like.
- If gravy thickens too much, just add more milk in small amounts.
Final Comments
Serve over hot split biscuits.
