    List of Ingredients


    • 1 (8 oz) can of water chestnuts, drained and cut into 24 euqal pieces
    • 1/4 Cup soy sauce
    • 1 Tablespoon sugar
    • 8 slices of bacon cut into 3 thirds


    Instructions


    1. In a small bowl, mix together the water
      chestnuts,soy sauce and sugar, mix well.
    2. Marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature.
    3. Drain water chestnuts and discard
      marinade.
    4. Wrap a piece of bacon around each and
      secure with a toothpick.
    5. Place on abroiler pan or on a rack in
      a shallow baking pan.
    6. Broil 4-6 inches from heat for 4-7 minutes
      on each side until bacon is crisp.
    7. Makes 24 appetizers


    Final Comments


    Other ideas--Scollops, pineapple chunks, olives
    or chicken livers that where marinaded in French
    Dressing.
