Recipe Introduction
Have made this many times is a great change for popcorn and movie night.
List of Ingredients
- 16 Cups of popped popcorn
- 1 1/2 Cup of brown sugar
- 1 1/2 Stick of butter or margarine
- 6 Tablespoons of Light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla
Instructions
- Combine sugar, butter, corn syrup in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. boil for 5 minutes without stirring. remove from heat and add and stir in vanilla and soda
- spread popcorn evenly over cookie sheets.
pour carmal sauce over popcorn and mix even out popcorn on cookie sheet and bake in a 300 degree oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and stir throughly spread out evenly again and return to oven for 5 more minutes. remove from oven and transfer to buttered wax paper and allow to cool. store in airtight container
Final Comments
A couple hints for easy clean up is to line your cookie sheet with foil then spray foil with non stick spray. also spray your spoon you use stirring popcorn.
you can also spray your wax paper rather then buttering it.
