Ginger Snaps

Makes approximately 50 cookies.
List of Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup shortening (or butter)
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses (or honey)
Instructions
- Cream shortening and sugar, and add egg and molasses.
- Sift together flour, ginger, cinnamon, salt, baking soda, baking powder and sugar.
- Combine mixtures.
- Roll dough into balls, and roll in sugar. Place on greased pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
