List of Ingredients
- 1 3/4 CUP SUGAR
- 3 EGGS
- 1 CUP COOKING OIL
- 2 CUPS FLOUR
- 1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
- 1 TEASPOON CINNAMON
- 1 TEASPOON SALT
- 2 CUPS SLICED APPLES
- 1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS
- (APPLE CAKE FILLING INGREDIENTS)
- 1 CUP SUGAR
- 1/2 STICK OLEO
- 1 TEASPOON WHITE SYRUP
- 1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
- 1/2 CUP BUTTERMILK
- 1/2 TEASPOON VANILLA
Instructions
- BEAT WELL FIRST 3 INGREDIENTS AND MIX UNTIL CREAMY.
- SIFT TOGETHER FLOUR, SODA, CINNAMON, AND SALT.
- ADD TO CREAMY MIXTURE. MIX WELL.
- FOLD IN APPLES AND NUTS.
- POUR INTO A GREASED CAKE PAN IN A 350 OVEN FOR 1 HOUR.
- PREPARE FILLING BY MIXING ALL FILLING INGREDIENTS AND BOIL TO THE SOFT BALL STAGE.
- PUNCH HOLES IN THE CAKE WITH A FORK.
- WHILE BOTH THE CAKE AND THE FILLING ARE HOT, POUR FILLING OVER THE CAKE.
