    Butter Pecan Turtle Bars

    • 2c. flour
    • 1c. brown sugar
    • 1/2c. softened butter
    • 1c. pecan halves
    • Caramel:
    • 2/3c. butter
    • 1/2c. brown sugar
    • 1c. milk chocolate chips


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 350. Crust: combine flour, sugar and butter; mix well.
    2. Pat firmly into 9x13 inch pan; sprinkle pecans on top.
    3. Caramel layer: In a heavy saucepan over med. heat, cook butter and sugar, stir constantly.
    4. Boil 1/2 to 1 minute. Pour evenly over crust. Bake 18-22 minutes or until layer is bubbly.
    5. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over top. Allow to melt 2-3 minutes; swirl for marble effect.
    6. Cool completely before cutting.
    7. Makes: 3-4 dozen.
