Caramel Chocolate Squares

- 50 caramels (14 oz bag)
- 1 pkg. german chocolate cake mix
- 2/3c. evaporated milk
- 3/4c. butter
- 1c. pecans
- 1c. chocolate chips
Instructions
- Melt caramels in 1/3c. of evaporated milk. In a bowl, combine cake mix, butter, 1/3c. evaporated milk, and nuts.
- Stir by hand. Press 1/2 of the dough into a 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 6-8 minutes.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Spread caramel mixture over chips.
- Crumble remaining dough and spoon over the caramel mix. Return to bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Cool slightly. Refrigerate 15 minutes and cut into squares.
